On the Beautiful North Wales Coast

Location

Rhos on Sea - "A village by the sea" - remaining unspoilt and still a relatively well kept secret!!

In a nutshell. - "Small is beautiful" in this charming seaside village located between big brothers Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.

If only all seaside towns could be like this – neat, pristine and peaceful. The long seafront walkway from Colwyn Bay takes in Rhos-on-Sea’s breakwater, where a little harbour has an atmosphere reminiscent of a West Wales coastal village.

As well as a Co-Operative and Spar food store open 7 days a week till late, Rhos also has:

Clothes shops

Butchers selling locally produced meat as well as home made sausages

Organic/Health food shop

Delicatessen offering cheeses and locally produced bread and pies etc

Wine shop/bar. Beer shop/bar.

Bakery selling fresh bread, pies and cream cakes.

Friday Country market selling locally produced jams, chutneys, ready prepared meals, cakes, biscuits etc

With many other interesting shops, pavement cafes, pubs, and restaurants, and the historical St Trillo's Church, there's always something to do.

There are no less than 25 historic sites to discover on foot via the Rhos on Sea Heritage Trail. The sweeping promenade fringes a naturally sheltered bay that's perfect for pottering, paddling, kite flying and beach combing. Winter or summer, it's a splendid walk (or jog!) and cycle path for people of all ages.

A delightful harbour created by the breakwater is home to many small boats with daily fishing trips during the season and excellent launch facilities for day visitors.

Yet another cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean apartment - a credit to you both.  Definitely leaving feeling much better than when I arrived, perhaps it's a sign I should stay here !!  Hopefully, we will visit again later in the year, all being well.
